depuis - to be substituted with quand |
Let's make a short excursion back to the
conjunctions. This is because there are cases, when
depuis can be substituted with
quand.
Case 1: Coincidence of two actions. Also
quand can be used.

In the moment that he understood that he was the aim, he brought his family out of the danger. |
Case 2: The starting point is important and the action is lasting a certain length of time. Here
quand cannot be used.
