Charles Baudelaire was born in 1821 as son of a wealthy official. Inherited wealth made it possible for him to write, even though the writing did not bring much money. Both poems that we are going to present come from his most famous work: 'Les Fluers du Mal". He is one of the most important authors of French literature. He died in August 1867 in Paris.
