4.2.1.3.2 Written irregularly, pronounced regularly

Here we have a verb, whose stem ends on tt. In the three persons singular the stem is changed (the second t is omitted). This does not have any influence on the pronunciation, only the writing is a bit different. Actually, it is quite understandable that a mute t is not written tt , don't you think?
