3.5.1.2 al => aux

Does the masculine singular form end on -al the plural ending is usually -aux. Here we have the exception that the pronunciation of the plural is not identical with the singular.

un conseil amical des conseils amicaux
    an advice amicable   advices amicable
  un gouvernement libéral des gouvernements liberaux
    a government liberal   governments liberal

And, as always there is an exception to this exception:
