19 Interrogative clauses

Interrogative clauses - meaning questions - can be devided into two types. There are the so calles closed questions, where the easiest and simplest answer could be yes or no (or the short answer).

Examples
Do you like music? Yes (I do).
Does he go to school? No (he does not).
Have they got their money? No (they did not).

In opposite to the closed questioins, there are open questions (of course) and they should have - let's say - a more complete answer, because yes and no are not really an option.

Examples
Why did you leave so early yesterday? Because, I was tired.
How did he get into the house? He had a key.
Where are they from? They are from Paris?

Let's have a bit a closer look at the different constructions.
